Lucas Harbour, Baritone, is currently fest in Karlsruhe, Germany with Badische Staatstheater Karlsruhe. He can currently be seen performing Panthée in Les Troyens, Monterone in Rigoletto Marti in Delius' Village Romeo and Julliet and Sagrestano in Tosca. He will also be performing as Leporello in Don Giovanni, T-Rex in Dino und die Arche and others throughout the season. Lucas was fest last season in Heidelberg singing Juptiter in Opheus in der Unterwelt, Sprecher in Zauberflöte, Don Fernando in Fidelio and Dr. Wangel in the World premier of Alexander Muno's Vom Meer. In the 2009-2010 season he was a Stipendiat at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. While at Deutsche Oper Berlin he performed the roles of 2nd Geharnischter in Zauberflöte, Wächter in Strauss' Frau ohne Schatten, Graf Horn (Tom) in Verdi´s Maskenball, Steuermann in Wagner's Tristan, Benoit in La Bohème, Schließer (Jailer) in Tosca, Ein Mandarin in Turandot and Wotan in Klein-Sigfried. For Teatro Regio in Torino Lucas has sung Voce in Mozart's Idomeneo, Hobson in Britten's Peter Grimes and Reinmar von Zweter in Wagner's Tannhäuser. Lucas performed with The Santa Fe Opera in the summers of 2008 and 2009. In 2009 he created the role of the Judge in the world premier of The Letter by Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Moravec. At Santa Fe he has also performed the Commissioner in La Traviata, Gunner's Mate in Billy Budd, in addition to covering the roles of Dr. Grenville in Traviata, Masetto in Don Giovanni, Bartolo in Figaro and Tsargo in Kaija Saariaho's Adriana Mater. At Chicago Opera Theater he has covered Leporello in Don Giovanni and Spencer Coyle in Britten's Owen Wingrave. For Chicago's Millenium Players he has performed Collatinus in Britten's Rape of Lucretia and Marcello in La Bohème. He sang the Bass solo in Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the Oak Park Symphony in Chicago. He has performed Tom in Verdi's Ballowith Opera Santa Barbara. He has performed Montano in Verdi's Otello with Des Moines Metro Opera as well as Sacramento Opera.
Lucas can also be seen around the world in various concert. Last November performed the Bass part in Mendelssohn's Erste Walpurgisnacht with Teatro Regio, Torino under the direction of Pinchas Steinberg. In May he sang concert production of La Damnation de Faust by Berlioz conducted by Charles Dutoit in Verizon Hall with The Philadelphia Orchestra. He also performed the Bass role in Beethoven's 9th with Heidelberg Orchestra with Cornelius Meister.
